What Would Devo Do?

I think the in-laws have been feeling sorry for me. A few weeks ago they got a dog and I was supposed to get one the same weekend but things fell through. You remember my little entry about feeling like Billy Colman don't you? Well last weekend they let Faith and I take the dog home. Faith told me that they'd probably give him to me, but I made it clear that I didn't want their charity. If they weren't going to keep him, I'd take him, but I didn't want them giving me the dog because they felt sorry for me. They told us to just take him home for a few days, just for the hell of it. Faith told me we'd probably end up keeping him, but that's not for sure yet.

So it looks like I may have a dog after all. They've been calling him Amigo which will make it easy to teach him to respond to Devo. I've really enjoyed having him around. I had a dog when I was really little - like 3 or 4 years old - and I saw him get run over by a truck. That sucked. Other than Rooch (the dog that got run over) we had a some cats (Noonieburger, Squeeky, Joe Lee, Missy) and a turtle named Rufus T. Gillhooley. I'm not sure why, but having my own dog feels like the last puzzle piece of manhood before having a kid.
